HDPE

HDPE

Polyethylene is one of the plastics commonly used in daily life.

It is used extensively in the automotive and industrial engineering applications, as well as in industrial packaging due to its excellent performance properties. Ampa Plastics is a local manufacture of high density polyethylene (HDPE), which has a density of 0.963, as stock. Other grades (i.e. medium – low density) can be manufactured on request.

Key features of –  High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) sheets

Very economical

Reasonably rigid at higher densities, although not as rigid as polypropylene but more cost effective

Highly Resistant

Highly resistant to many chemicals, water and is also impact resistant.

Great Isolator

Offers good electrical insulation, working temperature range: -70ºC to 80ºC

Fabrication

Relatively easy to vacuum form / reform and can be fabricated

Application & Features

Resistant to creep, can be used with food and will float in water

Surface Gloss

Surface has semi/ medium gloss finish after extrusion. The gloss surface is reduced by a second heat cycle (in other words, it becomes more matte after thermo-forming / vacuum forming)

Customization (MTO)

Our high density polyethylene plastic sheet is locally manufacture in our factory, meaning you can customize your order according to your product supply and brand requirements.

What is HDPE board?

High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) sheet is extremely impact resistant, abrasion resistant, and exhibits a low coefficient of friction. The material is also moisture, stain, and odour resistant. HDPE is FDA approved for use in the food processing industry (E.g. cutting boards). Ampa makes quality High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) boards that are durable, easy to clean, and reliable for repeat usage, at competitive pricing. A cost effective packaging solutions for transporting and storing your products.

Applications of HDPE

With a high strength-to-density ratio, HDPE is used in the production of plastic bottles, corrosion-resistant piping, geomembranes and plastic lumber. HDPE is commonly recycled, and has the number “2” as its resin identification code.
